Sibyl Towner is the co-author of Listen to My Life and co-founder of oneLifeMaps.com, an organization dedicated to helping people review their life stories for the purpose of recognizing and responding to God.

Sibyl’s life mission statement is to equip the next generation of leaders in Godly character and Godly leadership. Through assisting people as they explore their life stories, Sibyl helps them grow up in Christ, discover God’s presence in them and call forth their gifts to build up and extend the Body of Christ.

Sibyl’s professional experience includes 16 years as Head Counselor and Assistant Director of a private girl’s camp, and 15 years as the Minister to Families with Children and Director of Summer Ministries and Camping at College Hill Presbyterian Church. During her 16 years at Willow Creek Community Church, she served in paid and volunteer leadership positions within Camping Ministries, Adult Ministries, Youth Ministries and Women’s Ministries. She also developed intergenerational small groups for couples and families. For the past eight years, Sibyl has served as Director of Spiritual Mentoring, and she has worked in content development in the Spiritual Growth and Development department. Currently, she is a volunteer at Willow Creek and is part of the Faculty for Classes@Willow. She has been a guest lecturer at Asbury, Princeton and Gordon-Conwell Seminaries, and a facilitator at Leadership Network for Listen to My Life retreats. A frequent speaker and workshop leader, she has also taught internationally in the areas of Spiritual Formation and camping.

Sibyl earned degrees in English and History from Bowling Green State University. She is a certified camp director and an Old & New Testament Bethel Bible Teacher. She has completed four years of instructional experience in Spiritual Leadership with The Transforming Center and serves on the board of Fellowship Housing, a transitional housing ministry for women.

Sibyl’s husband, Dick, serves the Willow Creek Association as the Executive Director of the Good $ense Stewardship Movement. They have two married sons, seven grandchildren, and one adopted-in-love son with his family of four children. In addition, they have had over 80 young people live as extended family in their home. Sibyl enjoys listening to people tell their stories, reading, walking, tennis, and life.
